KARACHI: Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has convened an important meeting of party leaders in the provincial capital today.
Reports say the meeting will discuss the strategy regarding formation of government.
PPP leaders including former Opposition Leader in National Assembly Khurshid Shah will brief the PPP Chief over their negotiations with other parties related to election 2018.
Earlier, the PPP has won over all the big parties to take oath and fight the political battle in the parliament.
A PPP delegation on July 30 met President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore. Saad Rafique, Ayaz Sadiq and other party leaders were also present during the meeting. The PPP delegation also met Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman.
Both the parties agreed to go to the parliament “so that the political battle could be fought in a democratic way.”
A day after election, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had said that his party too has reservations over “irregularities” in the 2018 general elections but would take the matter to the parliament.
