Billings helps England Lions thump Pakistan A in tri-series clash

England A, being sent in to bat first, scored 324 runs with the loss of eight wickets in their 50 overs.

Billings scored 175 from 139 balls with the help of 21 balls and four maximums.

Liam Livingstone scored 64 runs from 40 deliveries with five fours and two sixes to his name.

Sam Curran, Captain Dawid Malan and Brett D’Oliveira scored 19, 15 and 13 runs respectively for the side.

Pakistan A, chasing 325 runs from 50 overs, failed to reach the target despite opener Jaahid Ali’s century and a fifty-run knock by Skipper Babar Azam as they were dismissed after scoring 268 runs in 48.2 overs.

Ali scored contributed 103 runs from 110 balls with 11 boundaries to his name whereas the Pakistani captain made 55 runs off 56 deliveries after hitting seven fours.

Amad Butt and Saud Shakeel contributed 29 and 26 runs respectively with the bat for the side.

Mark Wood was the pick of the bowlers for England Lions as he took three wickets while Tom Curran, Sam Curran and Liam Dawson grabbed two wickets each.
