Bollywood stars congratulate Indian cricket team

Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi, Rishi Kapoor, Boman Irani, Arjun Rampal and Anupam Kher (among others) were the ones who felicitated the men in blue for continuing their form. As India thrashed Bangladesh in an emphatic 109-run victory to cruise ahead into the semifinals. Since their high profile match against Pakistan on Feb 15th, India has steered ahead in the tournament and never lost a single match in this edition.

Bollywood heartthrob Emraan Hashmi was quite subtle with the congratulations; he simply expressed his joy at the Indian team’s admission into the last four in the world cup.

Boman Irani took to the micro blogging site and expressed his happiness to see the Indian team performing well. He specially noted how Indians gelled as a team and unified to bring their nation glory.

However, it seemed that Akshay was the most observant of the lot, since he took the pains to actually comment a little more in depth as regards to India’s strong showing. Praising the team’s bowling and fielding performances, here’s what he had to say on Twitter:-
