LAHORE: Bushra Bibi, the wife of former prime minister Imran Khan has challenged the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) in Lahore High Court (LHC), ARY News reported on Tuesday.
As per details, justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh heard Bushra Bibi’s plea in LHC.
The Assistant Advocate General told said that the case against Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi is registered in FIA that why the federal counsel will submit a response on this case.
The court asked that there was a case against her in the anti-corruption as well. In response, the Assistant Advocate General said that he will submit the report till the anti-corruption.
Bushra’s counsel told the court that FIA initiated the inquiry on baseless accusations and she was summoned in the case registered on a political basis.
Furthermore, the court was urged to suspend the notice as the FIA may arrest Imran Khan’s wife. The LHC has also summoned a report from the respondents on the plea on April 12.

Earlier, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) summoned the wife of former prime minister Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case.
The accountability watchdog summoned Bushra Bibi on March 21. The summons were handed over at Zaman Park by the NAB team.
It may be noted that earlier, Bushra Bibi and other PTI leaders were summoned in the Toshakhana case on March 9, but they did not show up.
The case
The Toshakhana issue became a major sticking point in national politics after the Election Commission of Pakistan disqualified the PTI chief for making “false statements and incorrect declaration” last month.
