According to sources, the influential persons subjected the movie maker to torture in drunken state and then crushed him under the wheels of their vehicle during a wedding ceremony.
The family members of the deceased refused to bury the body and staged a protest, with the corpse, against the authorities on the refusal to file a case against the accused. District Police Officer (DPO) Vehari took notice of the protest and suspended the SHO of City Police Station.
The protest ended after the suspension of the police officer.
Law Minister of Punjab Rana Mashhood said that Police is carrying out raids for the arrest of the suspects. He said that the involved persons will not remain safe from the hands of the law regardless how influential they are.
