'Govt lodging cases against me to repel 18th Amendment': Zardari

NAUDERO: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday said that the government was lodging cases against him to abolish the 18th Amendment.

Addressing a ceremony in connection with PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s 40th death anniversary at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, Asif Ali Zardari termed Bhutto’s execution ‘judicial murder’ and said that the day was a painful chapter of the country which described a story of resistance.

He held current government responsible for inflation and urged the masses to support PPP. Zardari said that the value of Dollar increased by Rs40 and prices of fruits, grossery and other edible items double in the era of current government.

The PPP leader said that soon he would announce a march to Islamabad to oust the current government.

Earlier, the 40th death anniversary of founder of Pakistan People’’s Party (PPP) and former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto is being observed on Thursday (today).

The Sindh Government has made foolproof security arrangements to facilitate the people and avoid any untoward incident.

Central gathering of the PPP will be held in Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto today, for which arrangements have been given final shape. In order to avoid any eventuality, more than 7,000 policemen have been deployed in Garhi Khuda Bux and Naudero.
