GUJRAT: Relatives of the 12 year old Hamid -who was killed allegedly by a car in Nawaz Sharif’s GT Road rally in Gujrat- faced a lot of difficulties in registering the First Information Report (FIR) in the police station, ARY News reported.

In the video available with ARY News, a plain clothed man is regularly interfering the procedure while the police officer registering FIR.

Hamid Chugtai, resident of Lala Musa was killed when a car in the convoy hit him, police had earlier said.

Hamid’s uncle wanted the “third car” in Nawaz Sharif’s convoy to be named in the FIR but the police officials refused to register the case according to his request.

Additionally, a police officer was recording his activities in the police station while the other was taking dictation from somewhere on phone rather than following the legal procedure and registering the FIR according to complainant’s request.

The video shows that the bereaved uncle of the child was also being forced not to enter the registration number of the vehicle which he thinks has killed his nephew.

Government of Punjab spokesperson Malik Ahmed Khan told ARY News that Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif has constituted an inquiry committee to look into the matter and initial inquiry suggests that the car which hit the boy was a Corolla.

The vehicle named in the FIR, however, is a black Prado.

Eye witnesses said that the 12 year old Hamid was hit by a vehicle in Nawaz Sharif’s GT Road rally caravan but none of the vehicles in the former PM’s protocol stopped despite onlookers’ cries.

The father of the boy fainted after hearing the news of his son’s accident.

It is pertinent to note here that Nawaz Sharif’s cavalcade has an ambulance and a first aid kit too but none of the cars in the caravan stopped to even look at the dead kid.

During his speech in Gujranwala, Nawaz Sharif, however, said that he will personally visit the boy’s house and will help the bereaved family.
