CJP takes notice of two minors’ death from food poisoning in Karachi

LAHORE: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Monday took suo motu notice of the death of two minor brothers due to consuming unhygienic food at a local restaurant in Karachi and sought report within 10 days from concerned departments.

According to the details, CJP Nisar ordered Sindh Food Authority (SFA) and Ministry of National Food Security and Research to submit a comprehensive report in the tragic incident, pertain to the sad demise of two minor brothers from consuming poisonous food at a local hotel in the metropolis.

The CJP expressed displeasure over the performance of SFA and added that the authority complete failed in the province.

It is pertinent to mention here that the two minor brothers, on November 11, had perished of food poisoning after consuming unhygienic meal at a restaurant in Karachi.

Accordin to details, Ahmad, one-and-a-half-year-old, and Muhammad, five-year-old, both sons of Ahsan and residents of Creek Vista, had died of food poisoning, while their mother, Ayesha, was hospitalised at South City Hospital.

They reportedly had dinner at a restaurant at Zamzama area, a while later they also ate sweets at a playland in Defence Housing Society area last night.
