COAS says Pakistan values its relations with EU

RAWALPINDI: Envoy of Romania to Pakistan Nicolae Goia called Monday called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ in Rawalpindi, ARY News reported, quoting Inter-Services Public Relations.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security situation including latest situation in Afghanistan and enhanced bilateral cooperation with Romania were discussed.

Speaking on the occasion, the COAS said that Pakistan values its relations with European Union countries and we earnestly look forward to enhancing mutually beneficial multi-domain relations based on common interest.

Both reiterated the desire to further enhance bilateral relations in all fields.

The visiting dignitary also appreciated Pakistan’s role in regional stability and pledged to play his role for further improvement in diplomatic cooperation with Pakistan at all levels.

Earlier this month, former US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad has met Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa after attending the Islamabad Security Dialogue.

Zalmay Khalilzad, who was also a prominent guest speaker at Islamabad Security Dialogue, called on COAS Bajwa at General Headquarters (GHQ).

They held discussions over the regional security situation including Afghanistan and bilateral cooperation in various fields, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
