Coke Studio recap: Atif Aslam collabs with Mai Dhai whilst Ali Haider makes debut on Coke Studio

Whilst Atif Aslam and Mai Dhai’s collaboration did have its high points, the song failed to deliver the ecstatic feeling Coke Studio’s earlier collaborations from this season had. The wow factor were the lyrics, which mainly depicted the scenic beauty of the landscape and feelings of love between two lovers.

Much more than that was anticipated Pakistani pop legend Ali Haider’s debut on Coke Studio. In season 8, Ali Haider was to make his mark alongside Sara Raza Khan. The seemed to share a great rapport, which was evident in their upbeat track as well. Jiya Karay turned out to be a jolly and lively track but lacked that depth to make it turn out to be a classic.

The seventh episode of Coke Studio will be released on 26th September.
