CTD arrests two ‘terrorists’ of banned outfit in DG Khan

DERA GHAZI KHAN: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Wednesday night raided a hideout of terrorist and arrested two hardcore terrorists, ARY News reported.

According to the CTD spokesman in Lahore, the CTD personnel carried out an operation in the suburbs of DG Khan on a tip-off and arrested two terrorist belonging to an banned terrorists’ group

Heavy cache of arms, ammunition and explosive have been recovered from them.

CTD teams have been active in different cities against terrorists and arrested several suspects in recent months.

On Jan 15, the CTD killed two terrorists of a banned outfit in an exchange of fire in Faisalabad.

The CTD spokesperson said the dead terrorists were involved in killing security agency officers in Multan. They were also involved in kidnapping of US citizen Warren Weinstein and former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani’s son Ali Haider Gilani.

The CTD personnel conducted an operation on a tip-off while, terrorists sensing arrival of the law enforcers, opened fire on the personnel. The law enforcement agencies retaliated the fire and two terrorists were killed.

During their action in Karachi yesterday (Jan 16), the CTD apprehended a Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) target killer from Karachi.

An investigation department team conducted a raid in Gulshan Iqbal and arrested Naeem Bajauri who is said to be affiliated with the TTP.
