ISLAMABAD: Deadlock ‘persists’ between government and opposition over backdoor dialogue as Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz seeks ‘guarantee’, ARY News reported, quoting well-placed sources.

The deadlock was reported in backdoor negotiations between the incumbent government and opposition over a ‘guarantee’.

“PML-N is seeking ‘guarantee’ that whatever is decided will be accepted by Imran Khan,” the sources quoted. The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has also become active to end the deadlock.

Negotiations will be held between both the government and the opposition after assurance of a ‘guarantee’, as both, sides are lacking trust in each other, the sources said.
