695 more test positive for dengue in Sindh

With the onset of winter, the number of dengue fever cases has surged rapidly in Sind. During the last 24 hours, over 100 patients were reported across Sindh.
The Karachi division reported the highest number of dengue patients admitted to government hospitals, with 31 new cases, followed by 24 in Hyderabad.
According to a daily report issued by the Director General Health Sindh (DGHS), during the past 24 hours, 81 new dengue patients were admitted to government hospitals across Sindh, while 59 new cases were recorded in private hospitals, bringing the total number of admitted patients to 128.
The DGHS has stated that a total of 5,893 dengue tests were conducted during the last 24 hours, of which 695 tested positive. Karachi’s labs confirmed 194 cases, while Hyderabad recorded a significantly higher number with 301 positive results.
The report further states that 95 patients in government hospitals and 68 in private hospitals have recovered and been discharged. So far, no dengue-related fatalities have been reported.
The DGHS has urged the public to take preventive measures, maintain cleanliness in homes and streets, and immediately consult the nearest hospital or health center in case of any suspected symptoms.
Dengue claims three more lives in Sindh; 113 new cases reported
Three more dengue patients succumbed to the lethal disease on Saturday across Sindh, while another 113 arrived at hospitals after testing positive for the virus, the spokesperson of the Director General (DG) Health Sindh informed.
The spokesperson of DG Health Sindh issued a daily report regarding the disease. Out of the three patients who died, one dengue patient passed away in Karachi, while two were in Hyderabad.
A total of 113 patients were admitted to government hospitals today in the metropolis.
On the other hand, around 57 new dengue patients were hospitalized in private hospitals on Saturday.
Additionally, 44 dengue patients are under treatment in government hospitals in Karachi.
Moreover, 35 dengue cases were reported in Hyderabad, while 34 cases were reported in other districts of Sindh.
