DSP and three other police personnel shot dead in Karachi

According to police, after the terrorists shot dead the police officials, they fled the scene with the weapons of the police personnel they had killed. Bodies of all four martyred police officers were shifted to Jinnah Hospital. Reacting to the unfortunate incident, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah demanded a report from the Inspector General. Condemning the incident, CM Qaim stated that cowardly acts such as these would not demoralize the government.

Karachi is not alien to police target killing as last month, SHO Ejaz Khwaja was shot to death in Clifton. As the government continues to be on the offensive against terrorists and armed miscreants of the city, incidents of firing and cracker attacks have also taken place against the police. During the last six months of the past year, as many as 80 policemen were killed in different incidents across the city.
