A meeting of the ECP chaired by Acting Chief Election Commissioner Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali today decided to take the matter to the apex court to seek deferral of the local government elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The commission officials said that the local government elections with bio-metric system could not be held in the province before September 2015. Even without bio-metric system the polls could be held earliest by April 2015, officials added.
