ECP to update voter lists ahead of LB elections in KP

The ECP in a meeting with NADRA officials reviewed voter lists on Monday. The chairman NADRA was also present on the occasion.

ECP officials told the meeting that there are 1 crore 22 lac voters currently registered in KP, while 78 lac masses all over the country have been issued new CNICs and all these people will be included in the electoral lists before the LB elections.

It was further said that the provincial authorities and NADRA officials will soon start working on this.

The ECP officials told that there are 8 crore 63 lac registered voters countrywide and this count will reach up to 9 crore 40 lacs, after the addition of 78 lac masses who are given new identity cards.
