Electoral Reforms body meets today

The committee comprises of 33 members of the parliament representing various parties would elect its chairman in its first meeting, sources said.

The parliament body would also decide the terms of reference for the smooth functioning of the committee.

The government is likely to propose the name of Minister of Finance Ishaq Dar for the top post of the committee, sources said.

National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq had announced the parliament committee on July 25 for reforms in the  electoral process to ensure a free and fair elections in future.
