18th Constitutional Amendment under threat, says Bilawal Bhutto

KANDHKOT: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday claimed that the 18th Constitutional Amendment which protects Sindh and the country has been under threat, ARY News reported.

People’s Party chairman was addressing a public meeting to pay tribute to late Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani here on his first death anniversary.

Bilawal said Mir Hazar was a comrade of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto. He served the country and the province.

He said the People’s Party restored the Bhutto’s given constitution in its true essence. He said he will not compromise over the rights of people.

Bilawal Bhutto said the 18th Constitutional Amendment which protects Sindh and the country has been under threat. The PPP will not allow any harm to the 18th amendment, he stressed.

The People’s Party has decided with other political parties that no compromise will be made over the human and economic rights of all Pakistani citizens, the PPP chairman added.

Earlier, talking to media here the PPP chirman said that Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf when failed to defeat the People’s Party in Sindh, now intends to remove it from power with conspiracies.

Talking to media he said no conspiracies will ever succeed against the PPP. He further said, “in politics the will of people prevails, while in cricket an umpire call the shots”.

Bilawal said the “selected government” have no respect for the mandate of the people adding that no “puppet prime minister” could create problems for us.
