Bollywood actor-producer Arbaaz Khan is planning for the third installment in the super-hit ‘Dabangg’ franchise, which may be a prequel.
‘Dabangg 3’ will reportedly revolve around Chulbul Panday's past, covering the story from his childhood days to how he became a police inspector.
When Arbaaz, who is currently busy with Sonam Kapoor’s forthcoming film ‘Dolly Ki Doli’, was asked about the film, he said, “It is too early to discuss.”
As the forthcoming action-comedy will showcase the early time of Chulbul Pandey, the leading lady of the "Dabangg" series, Sonakshi Sinha, will not be a part of the project.
"I don't know if I will be in Dabangg 3. It all depends on the plot and how they want to take it forward. From what I have heard they want to make a prequel. If that's the case I may not be in the film and that's absolutely fine," Sinha told media.
"I will always be known as the Dabangg girl and that is what matters. If it was a continuation of the story I know for a fact that I would've definitely been part of Dabangg 3 but since it's going back to before Chulbul met Rajjo, I am fine with it."
The first installment was directed by Abhinav Kashyap and its sequel by Arbaaz. They featured Salman khan as Chulbul Panday and Sinha as Rajjo Panday.
