Abid Sher Ali’s mother dies in Faisalabad
FAISALABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former federal minister Abid Sher Ali’s mother passed away in wee hours of Tuesday.
Zehra Begum, who was the first cousin of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, died of cardiac arrest, the family sources said.
After being informed about the demise of the PML-N leader’s mother, MPA Mian Tahir Jameel, deputy mayor Amin Butt, and other party leaders as well as relatives reached the former minister’s residence to offer their condolences.
Last month, PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif’s wife and former MNA Begum Kulsoom Nawaz had passed away in London after a months-long battle with cancer.
