LAHORE: An adjournment motion on Monday was submitted in the Punjab Assembly (PA) against use of contraband items in the educational institutes of the province.

The adjournment motion was submitted by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MPA Usman Mehmood in the assembly secretariat.

“Use of drug is on the rise in the educational institutes of province, which needs attention of the authorities”, the motion read.

The motion urged the authorities concerned to take immediate steps for rooting out this network in the educational institutes of Punjab.
