Ahsan killing case: Bullet shell found at murder site matches policeman’s weapon

KARACHI: Bullet shell found at the site of the incident of murder of a 19-month-old boy, Ahsan, has matched weapons of police officials, ARY News reported on Friday.

Investigation sources said forensic test of the weapons of the police officials, who were posted on snap-checking near the site of the incident, was carried out.

They said a shell of 9-mm pistol’s round was found at the site of the incident which belonged to the police officials on duty that day.

On April 16, Ahsan, sustained a bullet in his chest fired from a police weapon resulting in his death.

According to his father Kashif, he was traveling in a rickshaw along with his child when he saw police personnel firing on the University Road. At the same moment, Kashif said, he saw blood on the clothes of his son and he rushed to the hospital, where doctors pronounced his child dead.

He said that his son died of the bullet fired by the policemen. Kashif said that when he reached at the hospital to get his son treated, policemen from Sachal Police Station arrived there too.

Later, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah took notice of the child’s murder and sought report from the additional IG Sindh.
