WATCH: Alamgir Khan, team, throw sewage water at Sindh CM House

KARACHI: Alamgir Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA from Karachi of #FixIt fame, on Monday held a unique protest demonstration against the non-resolution of Karachi’s civic problems, ARY News reported.

Khan, accompanied by a team of his organisation’s volunteers, collected sewerage water in buckets and the team then gathered outside the Chief Minister’s House.

After chanting slogans against the government’s inability in resolving the civic issues, the team members threw sewerage water at the gate of the CM House.

Talking to media after the demonstration, Khan said that this was a lesson for Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar ‘who always complains about lack of authority’.

“Why didn’t Wasim Akhtar protest against all these [problems]?”, he questioned.

Khan said that the Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah and Minister for Local Bodies Saeed Ghani were responsible for the city’s dire situation.

“There’s no clean water for the people while sewerage water is ruining the roads”, he said.

“All of this is causing the spread of diseases and pollutions”, Khan added.

He said that he would continue his fight until the resolution of public problems.

“I am forced to take the road of protest after the relevant departments disappointed me”, he said, “people have voted for me; all I want is the resolution of their grievances”, he added.
