KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Wednesday released a voice message by Muttahida Qaumi Movement London (MQM-L) chief Altaf Hussain in which the exiled leader praised and congratulated two target killers over the murder of two political workers in Karachi, ARY News reported.
Addressing a press conference in Rangers Headquarters, Colonel Qaisar Khattak told media that the paramilitary force has arrested two target killers over their involvement in killing two Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) workers in Karachi on July 17.
Colonel Khattak said that two target killers namely Raheem and Danish belonged to MQM-London and received the orders from South Africa setup of the party.
The Rangers official ran a message allegedly sent by a South African party man Qaisar Teddy (code name Abdullah) in which the man said that they can hear the congratulatory message sent (by party chief) thought they cannot directly get a pat on their back by the (MQM-L) leadership but a deliberately concocted message is being sent to them.
Then the Rangers official ran Altaf Hussain’s message which read like “I want you, the whole committee, managing committee and every single person to accept my congratulations. This was a beautiful program attended by some great people and was a success. I feel a lot of people will die”.
Khattak revealed that the messages were retrieved from the cellphone of Danish, one of the target killers.
The Rangers official claimed that the arrested duo not only confessed their involvement in PSP men’s killing but a number of other murders on party leadership’s orders.
He added that the suspects have named other people who are in contact with MQM-London leadership and are planning killing of rival party men.
Khattak said that Pakistan Rangers Sindh has one message for such elements that their reign has passed.
Two workers of Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) were killed in a suspected targeted attack in Orangi Town on July 17.
