Boxer Amir Khan hopes to avenge Pakistan cricket team’s defeat

British-Pakistani boxer Amir King claimed that he will avenge Pakistan’s  loss against India in the high-voltage World Cup match.

Britain’s youngest boxing Olympic medalist took to Twitter to share that he will avenge the cricket team’s humiliating defeat on Sunday by knocking India’s boxer Neeraj Goyat in their upcoming fight in Saudi Arabia on July 12.

The Indian boxer was quick to reply and said ‘Keep dreaming.’ Goyat is a professional boxer from Haryana, India. In 2017, he won the Award of WBC Asia ‘Honorary Boxer of the year’.

This is the first time a British Pakistani will fight an Indian Boxer. The fight will take place at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah next month.

Khan was in attendance at Old Trafford, Manchester with his wife Faryal Makhdoom for the Pakistan vs India game.

He also offered to help Pakistan cricket team by giving fitness advise. He said “The team has talent but need to improve on strength, conditioning and focus.”

Pakistan lost to India by 89 runs on DLS method.
