Azerbaijan to augment bilateral trade with Pakistan

RAWALPINDI: Azerbaijan proposes to elevate bilateral trade associations with Pakistan, and esteemed the efforts of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) for encouraging such initiatives.

Rufat Mammadov, the Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, stated at the reception ceremony congregated by Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry in his honor on Monday.

He emphasized to amplify the quantity of trade within both the countries in order to strengthen business sector. He also said, there are numerous prospects to develop bilateral assistance in the tourism sector, since Azerbaijan had provided ease for tourist visa. Furthermore, he also proposed to enlarge collaboration in oil, gas and minerals related products.

Malik Shahid Saleem, President RCCI said that Azerbaijan has always been very gracious and compassionate to Pakistan. The bilateral relations between both the countries are broaden to ultimate area whether it is political, economical, technological, security or culture related.

Furthermore, he also added that, Azerbaijan and Pakistan’s relation has entitled them as “friendly and brotherly” countries. According to him, China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has now become ground reality for Pakistan, and new cooperative schemes shall also be explored under CPEC.

This ceremony was attended by, the ambassador of Azerbaijan Ali Alizade, Acting President of Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) Yusif Abdullayev, Hafiz Zeynalov- Head of Department of Interstate Economic Cooperation, Chingiz Garibli deputy head of mission of Azerbaijan in Pakistan and Shandana Gulzar Khan- Parliamentary Secretary of Commerce along with officials of customs, TDAP and Agriculture.
