Body of policeman found in Karachi’s Abbas Town

KARACHI: The body of a policeman was found in a house in Karachi’s Abbas Town early on Saturday, ARY News reported.

According to police, the policeman identified as Syed Ashraf is believed to have died six days ago. The body was shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities.

The deceased was posted at Khawaja Ajmer Nagri Police. The cause of his death will be known after autopsy.

It is noteworthy that a body bearing torture marks was found from a car in Shah Faisal Colony of the city on March 30. According to police officials, the body was found in a car with registration number MD-624 in Karachi’s Shah Faisal Colony.

The car has been registered in the name of Dr. Zulfiqar Ali, according to the police.

Before that, the city police had recovered two bullet riddled bodies from a house in Soomar Goth in Karachi’s Steel Town.

The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir said the two men identified as Imran and Waleed, were found dead and moved to a nearby medical facility for autopsy. The incident is said to be a result of an old enmity, whereas further investigation was underway into the matter, the SSP said
