12-year-old dies as Tik Tok challenge goes wrong

NEW DELHI: In another shocking incident, a 12-year-old boy lost his life while trying to doa Tik Tok challenge in India earlier this week.

According to India Today, the 12-year-old from India’s Rajasthan state attempted a Tik Tok challenged which proved deadly him.

The boy, a resident of Kota, Rajastahn, died as he hanged himself from a noose as a part of the Tik Tok challenge. The boy had worn mangalsutra (sacred thread worn by Hindu married women) and bangles. He then wrapped a thick metal chain around his neck and hanged himself with it in his bathroom – all apparently part of the rules of Tik Tok challenge.

As the incident took place late at night, the victim’s family found him missing in the morning but later discovered him hanging from the ceiling of the bathroom.

Police told reporters that the boy’s family took him to a private hospital, where he was declared dead.

Earlier in April, a young boy was allegedly shot dead by his friend as he pointed a pistol towards him while making a TikTok video.

The incident took place in New Delhi when Salman Zakir and his friends, Sohail and Amir, after were returning home after visiting India Gate.

Salman was driving the car, while Sohail was sitting next to him and Amir was in the rear seat. Sohail aimed the pistol at Salman to make the video, but the weapon went off shooting Salman on his cheek.
