KARACHI: A mother and her son were injured on Tuesday night when a portion of a dilapidated building collapsed in Ramswami here, ARY News reported.
The two injured were immediately shifted to Civil Hospital for medical attendance.
Several old and dilapidated buildings have been located in Ramswami, an old city area of Karachi in jurisdiction of Garden police station.
The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) had declared the building as ‘dangerous’ recently and a notice to this effect was also pasted at the premises, officials said.
Hundreds of families in the area are forced to live in old and crumbled buildings in Ramswami, posing serious threat to human lives.
