Buzdar’s nomination for chief ministership compared with Inzamam, Wasim Akram’s selection

LAHORE:  A combined session of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) provincial assembly members and ministers was held with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair here in Lahore, ARY News reported on Tuesday.

According to a statement released by Punjab government, the MPAs and provincial ministers apprised the PM about the Punjab government’s performance and the progress on the implementation of party’s 100-day plan.

The MPAs also showered praise on CM Punjab Usman Buzdar and told the PM that his decision to name Buzdar as chief minister proved to be the right one for Punjab.

MPA Sadia Sohail Rana said that Usman Buzdar’s handling of parliamentary party affairs is praiseworthy and the critics have been silenced because of his great attitude.

She thanked the Prime Minister for giving a good Chief Minister to the Punjab province.

About his nomination as CM Punjab despite criticism, another MPA quoted the example of selection of Waseem Akram and Inzamam ul Haq in country’s cricket team by Imran Khan during his captaincy and said that choosing Usman Buzdar for Punjab will prove equally good.

“There can be no better choice for we saw that Buzdar is available to  public round-the-clock. We always watch him performing work,” said the MPA.

He further said that tolerance and patience are important characteristics of Usman Buzdar.

Earlier, the CM Punjab welcomed the PM and said that for the first time that premier is directly addressing the MPAs.

He also thanked Punjab assembly members for supporting him in his work and mission to change Punjab.
