Capacity Building and Training Center established in Faisalabad
FAISALABAD: Punjab Minister for Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal Muhammad Ajmal Cheema on Sunday inaugurated the Capacity Building and Training Center in Faisalabad, ARY News reported.
The Capacity Building and Training Center (CBTC) has been established in local Social Welfare Complex for providing facilities to impart training to the officials and NGOs with the modern techniques of management and record keeping.
Appreciating the step of establishment of the CBTC, the minister for social welfare and bait ul mal announced that such centers would be set up at all the social welfare department offices in Punjab.
He said that capacity building of the staff was imperative for raising the quality of departmental services. He said that a number of reforms were being introduced in social welfare department for delivering the social services in lines with the advanced technology.
Ajmal Cheema emphasised upon the officers of Social Welfare Department to take maximum benefits of this training center and training programs should be held on regular basis as refresher courses.
He said that active NGOs were playing pivotal role for providing welfare services in education, health and other sections and they should also be provided maximum training facilities for the expansion of social welfare activities skillfully.
Later, the minister also distributed the certificates among the position holder officers of Faisalabad Division who contributed in best reporting presentation of the social welfare activities.
Presenting the welcome address, Director Social Welfare Shahid Rana thanked the minister for social welfare for inaugurating the Capacity Building and Training Center and said that the dream of setting up this center has been materialized with the able guidance of Minister Social Welfare.
He informed that target had been set to impart the training of different skills to the 500 persons of NGO’s and Social Welfare department of Faisalabad division.
Director Social Welfare Shahid Rana and other officers were also present on the occasion.
