QUETTA: A child killed and two others were injured in a in a hand grenade attack in the outlying Jinnah Town here on Monday, ARY News reported.
The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta where doctors pronounced the condition of the injured as stable and out of danger.
Security forces reached on the blast scene and cordoned off the area to conduct search operation on suspicion that any attacker likely to be present in the area. The motive behind the blast could not be ascertained.
According to eye witnesses, when a man in a black car threw a hand grenade and fled from the spot at Killi Barat neighborhood of Jinnah Town. A forensic team has reached to the scene to collect evidence.
The investigators also gathering evidence from the spot.
Quetta has been the capital city of restive southwestern province of Balochistan.
