RAWALPINDI: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Sunday acknowledged Pakistan Army’s sacrifices and contribution towards regional peace and stability.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations, the visiting Chinese official, who is in Islamabad on his visit, along with his delegates called on Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

They discussed matters of mutual interest and regional security with special reference to Afghan situation and China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Gen Bajwa affirmed Pakistan will contribute positively towards the regional peace and stability while thanking the Chinese dignitary for his visit and unwavering Chinese support to Pakistan.

Earlier today, the Prime Minister’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaz Aziz also held a joint press conference with the Chinese minister in Islamabad after a meeting between the representatives of Pakistan, China and Afghanistan.
The countries’ representatives agreed to form a crisis management and dialogue mechanisms besides agreeing to revive the quadrilateral coordination group for Afghan peace and reconciliation.
