KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Farooq Sattar on Friday found himself caught between a rock and a hard place when an old man asked him a flurry of pungent questions in public, ARY News reported.

The MQM-P leader turned a deaf ear to the acrid questions hurled by this unknown man while standing on staircase of Memon Masjid in Karachi after offering Friday prayers. He reminded him of the recent past of the dominant political party of the megapolis when it was notorious for snatching hides of animals on gun-point during Eid-ul-Adha days.

“Go, get out. Go and seek forgiveness from Allah (SWT). Shun the MQM. Seek forgiveness… By God, your end will be terrible. You have been snatching animal hides from people for the last 25 years. I was myself drawn pistol at demanding from me to hand him over the hide and I said ‘I will not. Shoot me.’

The old man also reminisce the arson, attacks and murders allegedly committed by the MQM workers on their party leadership’s directives.

As a part of his election campaign, Farooq was on a visit to his constituency and he offered Jummah at Memom Masjid, Kharadar.

The voters also said that you (politicians) come for votes during election days but do no service to people. They were of the view that the MQM could not deliver to the city in the last 25 years of its rule.
