KARACHI: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Saturday announced to open its airspace from all sides but India, ARY News reported.
The CAA has issued a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) in this regard. The aviation authority clarified that the airspace from Indian side was closed because the neighbouring country had denied entry of flights into Pakistan.
“Pakistan allowed entry into the country from South East but denied by India,” read the NOTAM.
The CAA has issued the NOTAM to all the airlines.
Following tension between Pakistan and India, the CAA had closed the eastern airspace. CAA said no flight would enter Pakistan from Indian airspace.
Through a separate NOTAM on Saturday, the CAA extended suspension of flight operations at Sialkot, Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalpur airports for further 24 hours.

These airports will remain partially restored till March 15, the CAA announcement said.
The CAA in a NOTAM on March 1, announced opening of Pakistan’s airspace in a phased process.
Pakistan’s airspace was closed and flight operations were suspended in the end February, due to escalation of tensions with neighboring India.
Two warplanes of India were downed by Pakistan Air Force after their intrusion in the country’s airspace.
