CM Murad suspends Sukkur board’s controller for failing to check cheating

KARACHI: Taking strong notice of complaints of cheating by the students in Sukkur region, during Secondary School Certificates (SSC) examination, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Tuesday suspended Sukkur board’s controller of examination.

On the directions of CM Sindh, Education Minister Syed Sardar Shah visited different examination centre in Sukkur and found students cheating in their annual exams.

The minister in his report to the provincial chief executive said students were found using unfair means in their examination at different centres of Sukkur region and also informed him about making examination paper public way before the examination.

Acting on the report of the Sardar Shah, Syed Murad Ali Shah suspended BISE Sukkur Examination Controller Abdul Sami Soomro  and a notification was also issued in this regard.

Shah has advised all examination controllers of the boards to ensure elimination of the copy culture in order to save future of our young generation.

The SSC part-I and II exams are under way across Sindh in five boards — Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas and Larkana — and according to the officials concerned, foolproof arrangements had been made to check copying and impersonation, besides maintaining security. However, rampant use of unfair means was reported during the exam.
