Corrupt elements deserve no mercy: Fayyazul Hassan

LAHORE: Punjab’s Information Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan on Friday reiterated that the accountability process will continue at all cost in the country and added that corrupt elements do not deserve mercy.

Talking to journalists, Fayyazul Hassan said that leadership of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) lost conscious after their names were placed on the exit control list. He said that even birthday cakes were purchased by the corruption money.

He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) believes in across the board accountability and added that all the corrupt elements will be brought to justice.

It is pertinent to mention here that the federal government on Friday (today) placed the names of Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Faryal Talpur and 169 others on the Exit Control List (ECL) over their alleged involvement in fake bank accounts and money laundering cases.

The development comes a day after the federal cabinet decided to places the names of 172 accused in the mega money laundering scam on the no-fly list.
