Dasti had opposed officials breaching a dyke in Muzafarrgarh, however they refused directives of the MNA saying a large portion of the district could be at risk if the dyke was not breached.
He subsequently entered a brawl with commissioner, district coordination officer and DPO over the issue. Police registered a case against Dasti under Anti-Terrorism Act at City Police Station.
At least 20 others are also nominated in the FIR along with 70 unknown accused for brawling with police.
