Delta says Muslim youths were removed from flight over ‘disruptive behavior’
Delta airline is again in hot waters as the international carrier tried to defend its act of kicking off a Muslim youth and his friend off their New York-bound flight at London’s Heathrow airport.
In a statement released after “landing” and collecting “multiple passenger statements”, the airline said that the customers who were removed (Youtube star Adam Saleh and his friend Slim Albaher) sought to disrupt the cabin with provocative behaviour, including shouting.
While one, according to media reports, is a known prankster who was video recorded and encouraged by his travelling companion.
“What is paramount to Delta is the safety and comfort of our passengers and employees. It is clear these individuals sought to violate that priority. This type of conduct is not welcome on any Delta flight,” reads the statement posted on airline’s website.
How the internet reacted!
A number of people slammed the airline’s statement which says “shouting” was the reason behind the youths’ removal from the flight.
Some commented on the statement as it was posted on Delta’s Facebook page too while others reacted on Twitter. Adam Saleh and Slim too released a full video and explained the circumstances again.
