KOT RADHA KISHAN: Former convener of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Farooq Sattar on Saturday said he would revive the MQM of 1986, ARY News reported.
Talking to media in K0t Radha Kishan, Farooq Sattar said it would be 35th ‘Youm–e–Tasees’ (founding day) of the movement of the MQM on March 18.
He claimed that people in large groups were joining him. He said eradication of traditional politics would take place in Pakistan.
“Now politics of old politicians will be uprooted,” he said.
The veteran politician said the MQM had always done politics of poor segment of society.
He said the real change in Pakistan will be more representation of common men in the assemblies.

Earlier in December last year, Amir Khan, key leader of MQM-P, declared that Farooq Sattar did not belong to the party anymore. “Sattar is no longer a part of the party and I am not answerable for any of his statements. He should stop using the party’s name or flag.”
However, Sattar has not made any announcements about quitting MQM-P so far.
On January 28, Farooq Sattar had challenged cancellation of his party membership in the Sindh High Court (SHC).
Sattar had contended in his plea that quashing of his membership was in contravention of the Election Act and party rules.
He had said no legal formalities were fulfilled to cancel his membership. He had said the order issued for his membership was only signed by Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, while it’s mandatory under party rules to have say of two-third majority of the Rabita Committee, party’s decision making body.
