Federal cabinet lifts ban on govt appointments

ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Pervez Rasheed has said the federal cabinet had decided to lift ban on appointments in government departments, ARY News reported.

Addressing a press conference here, the Senator told that the federal government had take four decisions in its meeting.

The minister described the decisions of the meeting as follow;

  • Each flood-hit family will be provided with Rs 25,000 each as compensation before fall of Eid-ul-Azha.
  • The audit report for increase in electricity bills will be dispatched to the prime minister.
  • A minimum wage – Rs 12,000 – of laborers will be given legal protection.
  • The government will compensate all losses inflicted in the wake of floods.
