Football star Ronaldinho and others arrive in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: Brazilian football celebrity Ronaldinho along with other seven top footballers including Manchester United stalwart Ryan Giggs have arrived at Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA) here on Saturday morning, escalating nationwide fans’ ecstasy ahead of two exhibition matches, ARY News reported.
The Ronaldinho and friends lineup includes Roberto Carlos, Nicolas Anelka, Ronaldinho, Robert Pires, Luis Boa Morte, David James, George Boateng, and Ryan Giggs.
The players will showcase their otherworldly skills while playing with a group of Pakistani players in two matches in Karachi and Lahore.

Pakistani footballers who will play alongside the international players include Kaleemullah, Saddam Hussain, Saadullah, Yousuf Butt, Abdul Aziz, Muhammad Essa, Ghulam Rasool, and star of street child football team Mohammad Razzik.
Before flying to Karachi for the inaugural game, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa will also host a reception in honour of the visiting footballers later in the morning.
For Karachiites, good news is that the first match will be held in their city. The match is scheduled to start at around 8:30PM on 8th July at Abdul Sattar Edhi stadium.
Whereas, the tickets are categorized into four different boxes, the cheapest starts from Rs 2,000 ticket, while seats in silver category starts from Rs 5,500, Rs 8,000 for Zone Gold and platinum starts from Rs 12,000. For Zone Platinum plus you have to pay 12,500.
The event organised by the Leisure Leagues Pakistan (LLP) which aims to promote the game in Pakistan.
