Pakistan has one of the most dangerous road infrastructures in the region despite the government claims of efforts to improve the roads and communication infrastructure in the country. Thousands of people die and sustain major injuries every year in Pakistan due to dilapidated roads, creaking infrastructure and reckless driving in the country.

Lack of proper enforcement of road rules, dangerous driver violations, lesser awareness of driving laws and safety measures also add to the soaring number of dangerous traffic mishaps.
