ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ali Amin Gandapur has offered Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman to either conduct vote recount or re-elections in the NA-38 Dera Ismail Khan constituency.

Gandapur bagged 80,236 votes to defeat the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) stalwart who received 45,457 votes. However, Maulana Rehman strongly rejected the election results and has vowed to start a campaign against it.

Speaking to ARY News, Gandapur said that Maulana Fazlur-Rehman has been a part of parliament since 1988, was a part of every government, and has sought votes in the name Islam for his personal sake.

He said the PTI chairman Imran Khan gave awareness to the people and they were satisfied with the performance of their government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which led to a crushing defeat for other parties.

He once again offered to hold vote recount or even re-election on their constituency if Maulana Rehman had any doubts or reservations, and said he would defeat him again with even greater margin.

Gandapur said that he has promised Imran Khan earlier this year that Maulana Fazlur Rehman will not be part of the parliament in which he will be prime minister as he was self-centred person.

When asked over his name being floated for the next chief minister in KP, he said that the province was still deprived in several areas and he would serve the nation if any responsibility was given by the party chief.
