KARACHI: A 19-year-old girl died after doctors at a government hospital in city’s Korangi area allegedly administered her wrong injection, ARY News reported Thursday.

The family members of the girl claimed that she died due to negligence of the doctors team. “She was administered an injection and her health deteriorated right after it. Our daughter passed away hours after the condition worsened,” mother of the girl said.

The girl was brought to hospital due to some treatment for her nose in the morning at around 10.

The heirs of the deceased girl staged a protest outside the hospital and accused the management of being responsible for death of their family member.

It may be noted here that a father of nine-month-old baby, who got paralysed after being administered wrong injection at Karachi’s Darul Sehat Hospital, had filed First Information Report (FIR) at the Shahrah-e-Faisal police station.

According to the FIR, high dosage of medicine was administered to Nishwa, the baby, worsening her condition.

Father of the girl, Qaiser, had alleged that her daughter, Nishwa, was paralysed due to ‘wrong injection’ given to her by the ‘untrained nursing staff’.

Qaiser said that he brought his twin daughters to the hospital for treatment of diarrhoea. He added her daughters were injected three drips on different timings. The father said that condition of one of his daughters Nishwa was worsened just after the family prepared to leave for home.
