Imran announces ‘Dharna convention’ on January 18

TOP NEWS

Addressing a press conference, he threatened to again taking to the streets if the government did not form judicial commission to probe election rigging.

We are organizing ‘Dharna convention’ on January 18 and next line of action will be announced in it. We supported government on measures against terrorism and we didn’t block any national move but we are now compelled to decide next course of action due to government’s repeated cold shoulder to PTI demands, he added.

He threw three questions at the government.

1- How a stranger [Ayaz Sadiq] ran the House who was elected through rigging?

2- When judicial commission will sit and finds PML-N rigging practice. What will be the fate of government and its decisions it took during two years ?

3- Whether presiding officers and returning officers in polls 2013 didn’t know that people’s mandate was being snatched. Who was behind them?

He said empowered judicial commission should be formed. The government shouldn’t be fearful of investigation if it believed to be elected through fair elections.

Imran said he was calling for election vote audit for a long time. He alleged that NA speaker Sadiq knew he was elected through rigging, hence he took stay orders from the court.

I reiterate that the caretaker government helped the government carry out rigging.

He said 34,376 bogus votes were cast in NA-122.

“How culprits could be caught until judicial commission is not formed.” He said until election manipulators were punished, the malpractices in the upcoming elections will continue.
