ISLAMABAD: Minister Information Fawad Chaudhry on Tuesday said the political future of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was over and he could no more enter the Parliament.

“We are not angels, we can commit mistakes…but Prime Minister Imran Khan will never compromise on the interests of Pakistan,” asserted the minister while speaking during the National Assembly session today.

Mr. Chaudhry said past rulers shattered the country’s economy for their own gains. The information minister took exception to the opposition benches for suggesting measures to the government for streamlining economy, saying “are they really in a position to tell us what to do…they are the ones who destroyed the country,” said the minister.

He was of the view that the Opposition couldn’t even listen to wrongdoings of their tenure and walk out from the House on pretext of protest whenever they were ‘shown the mirror’.

He said they [Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Nawaz Sharif] continued pursuing the agenda of India while being in power.

We may have begged Saudi Arabia for children of Pakistan…unlike you, who begged the Saudis for your own children, he uttered.

He said the reception of PM Imran Khan in Saudi Arabia showed the respect Pakistan is being given in the Muslim world. China also appears to be satisfied with the vision of new PTI government, he claimed.

He insisted that Pakistan would be the country giving loans to other countries in future, instead being the one on the receiving end.
