Imran Khan summons meeting as PTI nearing historic victory

ISLAMABAD:  Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has summoned a meeting with his party’s leaders after the PTI leading in the elections with a decisive edge.

In the meeting which is to be held at Bani Gala residence of Imran Khan  on Thursday (today) the PTI leadership will decide the party’s action plan to form the government as it is nearing to decisive victory in the elections 2018.

According to reports, the party is most likely to approach independent candidates across Punjab in order to form a joint government.

Other parties such a Pakistan Muslim League  (PML-N) has refused to accept the election results citing alleged rigging in the elections.

The election results were delayed due to the glitch in Results Transmission System introduced by the Election Commission of Pakistan causing outcry from various political parties.

ECP, however, has denied the rigging allegations, saying the elections were “100 percent fair and transparent”.
