SRINAGAR: A youth was martyred as a result of Indian barbarism in the occupied territory on Tuesday, Kashmir Media Service reported.

According to details, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism shot a Kashmiri youth in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

The martyr has been identified as Irfan Ahmed, who was killed by India forces during a cordon and search operation in Chowduri Bagh area of Litter in the district.

Following the death of the civilian, the Indian authorities immediately suspended internet service in Pulwama district.

As per Indian army claims, the young man was killed in a shootout, however, locals rejected the army’s statement, asserting that Irfan was martyred in the custody of the troops.

Earlier today, during the inauguration ceremony of the new green Norwegian embassy in New Delhi, Norway’s Prime Minister Erna Solberg said, “military solutions” cannot resolve the Kashmir dispute between the nuclear armed neighbours – Pakistan and India.

“Personally, I don’t believe that military solutions solve problem. I believe in peaceful solutions. Participation of women and youth. You can have victory through military activity but you will always have underlying activity,” she was quoted as saying by Indian media during her speech on the occasion.
