Indian national arrested in KP district

PARACHINAR: Security forces have arrested an Indian citizen from Parachinar, a tribal district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a day ago.

Identified as Ram Bahadur, authorities claim that the arrested man hails from the India’s state of Gujarat and entered Pakistan via Afghanistan, reports say. The arrested man did not possess any identification documents and said to aged between 35 and 36.

The investigation has been underway.

In July this year, Pakistan had submitted its reply to India’s arguments in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in the case of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav’s case.

Pakistan, in its rejoinder, gave detailed answers to India’s submissions to the international court.

Pakistani security agencies on March 24, 2016 apprehended an ‘on-duty RAW agent’ from Balochistan. The suspect was said to be an officer of the Indian navy working for the covert agency to destabilize Pakistan.

On March 25, a day after the arrest, the India’s Ministry of External Affairs said the Indian man arrested from Balochistan has no connection with the government, however, admitted that Kulbhushan Yadav is a former officer of the Indian navy.

On April 10, COAS, Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa confirmed his death sentence awarded by Field General Court Martial (FGCM).
